Excellent experience all around. Great communication throughout the project, excellent workmanship.Scurfield installed... 18 solar panels, a mini split heat pump system supplying heat to two buildings on our property, and coordinated the install of a new electrical panel.Will use them again for solar and heat pump install on another building project to start this year. I contracted with Scurfield to install and new central furnace three years ago. I was so impressed with their quality... and attention to detail that I subsequently called them again to install a new gas line for a tankless water heater and new gas stove. The staff are well trained, dependable, thorough and responsive. It pays to go with a business that cares about doing things right the first time and Ben Scurfield and his team are all about providing exceptional quality and service. Highly recommend.read more

From the beginning of our solar project to the end they were able to work with us every step of the way. I reached out... to four local companies and received bids from two (three if you count getting a bid long after I signed a contract with Scurfield). While they were not the cheapest bid, they did spec highly rated equipment and seemed easy to work with. I was so glad we made the choice to go with Scurfield. The crews craftsmanship and professionalism was apparent in all aspects of the project. They were as timely as the weather would permit and the system seems seamless. My 40 year old solar hot water heating system finally died. Ben figured out a way to continue using the collectors... which were serviceable and the storage tank but modernize the control system. The technicians especially Reed did an excellent job installing the updated system. My water is again being heated using the sun's rays. I recommend them most highly.read more

Scurfield fully and rapidly responded to my inquiries about battery backup for our 18 PV panels. They advised me... concerning relative advantages of different products and quickly moved to implement my choice of a Tesla Powerwall, remaining immediately available following delays by the Powerwall supplier.They explained to me the functions and capabilities of each component and kept me informed about the installation process.The crew was knowledgeable, congenial, and efficient. We are very happy with the result and have found that the Powerwall manages our grid-tie with benefits beyond just backup preparedness.read more
